About

Fresno’s Cultural Arts Rotary Club (CARC)

Originally founded as the West Fresno Club, we began building relationships with the Japanese community located on the west side of Fresno. These ties began our relationship with with our sister club- the Rotary Club of Uji, Japan.

In 1954, the club changed its name to the Metropolitan Rotary Club of Fresno, have a broader scope with our developing city.

2008 saw our biggest change as we shifted our mission and focus to The Arts Community. Thus was born The Cultural Arts Rotary Club of Fresno.

Since 2009, a passionate membership of 22 has blossomed and continues to grow. Today, we have over 50 full members, honorary members, and associate members!

CARC is a lively club that focuses its local attention to the downtown neighborhoods in which it resides and youth arts programs throughout the county. We have an ongoing relationship with Tehipite Middle School and each month during the school year, we celebrate student achievement and character, with the students and principal as our guests.

The Musical Instrument Project focuses on youth and schools in need of musical instruments. We involve a variety of school musical groups in our events to showcase talent and provide funds toward their goals.
